Gold Coast Fishing Report Sep 2019

Offshore: Gold Coast Fishing report.

Seems like all the big snapper and tuskies are still sitting in close this week if you can get out with the wind. Pilchards and lightly weighted strip baits are working best on the bigger snapper, lots of pannies right out to the 50 fathom. Livies are still getting the odd kingy and odd AJ out wider between 80-100 metres.

Still a few Cobia and Mulloway on some close reefs, 18-24 fathoms at dusk and dawn. But they are starting to thin out.

Find the bait at dusk and dawn and find the cobia and Jew. Live yakka’s, pike and Slimmies fishing best.  A few schools of Mack tuna still moving through. Lives and Pillies fishing well this week.

Find the warmer water and there is still the odd yellow fin too. Still lots of bait around. Still tons of tailor on close reefs and Bombies. Look to the very close reefs out to 24 fathoms.
