Deep Sea Fishing Gold Coast
The Gold Coast, a picture perfect place with miles of sandy beaches, gorgeous hinterland and a myriad of rivers, canals and creeks. Nestled on Queensland’s south east coast and skirted by the Coral Sea, the Gold Coast is a sensational holiday spot and an even better fishing destination. With over 40 kilometres of pristine coastline, the city is a hive of fishing activity. Whether you’re looking for deep sea fishing, reef fishing, or inshore calm water opportunities, you’ve come to the right place. Rock up in the warmer summer months, and you’ll be blown away by the ferocious Black Marlin bite and pelagic species such as Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Mackerel, Sailfish, and a variety Tuna.
Reef fishing is just as productive, with a plethora of bottom dwelling species to target. The reefs are home to for Snapper, Cobia, Tuskfish, Teraglin, Pearl Perch, Tailor, and Trevally, among many others.
True Blue Gold Coast fishing charters organize trips that can last anywhere from 3–9 hours and there is a variety of specialized expeditions on offer as well. A half day excursion is enough to fish the closer reefs, while longer full day trips are perfect for runs out to the deeper reefs.
